About Interactive IB Biology
A free revision site for the IB Diploma Biology course (first assessment 2025), made by a student for their class. It aims to make the hardest-to-picture parts of the course visible and to give quick, honest self-tests.
How the content is checked
- Topics follow the official IB guide's structure: Themes A–D, four levels of organisation, topics A1.1–D4.3, with SL and AHL (Higher Level) content marked separately. The wording is our own; no text from the IB guide, textbooks or past papers is reproduced.
- Every page is written against the syllabus understandings and standard textbook biology, then re-read by a separate reviewer acting as a strict IB examiner.
- Anything uncertain is listed in a review log for checking with a teacher.
- Models and simulations are simplified on purpose. Where a simulation shows the shape of a relationship rather than real data, it says "qualitative model".
The 3D models and animations
All 3D models are generated in code (with three.js), so their proportions are schematic rather than exact. Each one has an exam-style 2D diagram view, a full text description and keyboard controls. Animations never start by themselves; if you turn on Reduce motion in Display settings, they become step-by-step.
Your data
There are no accounts, adverts or tracking. Quiz scores, flashcards and display settings are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). You can export or reset them on the My progress page.
